We Understand Manufacturers Have Unique Needs When it Comes to Website Design

Building WordPress Websites for Manufacturing Companies: Our Experience and Expertise Our digital agency was originally founded in 2014 with the singular vision of building websites for manufacturers. Industrial website design was our core focus. As a result, we have extensive experience in building WordPress websites for industrial and manufacturing companies. In fact, we have likely built more websites for machine shops than any one website agency (outside of, perhaps Thomasnet). At HyperX Design we have a unique approach to building websites for manufacturing companies and recognize the impact that having a quality website can have on overall company performance.

Attracting Employees With A Manufacturing Website

If you’re like many manufacturers we work with, it’s not easy to find and attract quality employees. For some of our manufacturing clients, the primary objective with a manufacturing website is to attract new employees. Having a great Employment or Careers page can really make a difference. With solid messaging outlining company strengths as a manufacturing employer, and a well-organized online employment application many of our manufacturing clients see an uptick in quality candidates with their new manufacturing website. >Here’s an example< of how you could add an employment form to your manufacturing website.

Challenges for Web Design and Digital Marketing For the Manufacturing Industry

Number one on the list of challenges with industrial themed websites is creating quality website content. In the manufacturing world, it can sometimes be difficult to articulate in a compelling way what you do or build. It’s not always easy to explain products, services or pain points that aren’t mainstream, and sometimes extremely technical. Creating high quality content for manufacturers is in our DNA at HyperX Design. With decades of experience in technical sales, we’re well versed at taking speeds and feeds and converting them into engaging, creative and often entertaining content.

The Importance of Quality Websites For Manufacturers

Given today’s digital landscape, having a quality website is crucial for manufacturing companies. A website serves as the online face of a business and can have a significant impact on its success. A professional and well-designed website can showcase your manufacturing company’s products and services, demonstrate your expertise in the industry, and provide valuable information to potential customers. It can also help to establish trust and credibility with visitors, leading to increased sales and growth for the business. .

Not only that, but a well-optimized website can improve search engine rankings, making it easier for manufacturing companies to reach a wider audience and attract more qualified leads. Overall, having a quality website is essential for the success of a manufacturing company in today’s competitive market.

Important Elements to Include on any Manufacturing Website

We’ve worked with enough manufacturers and machine shops over the years to recognize their strengths typically lie with things like building products, assembly, packaging, materials management, safety, vendor management, creating processes, new product development, supply chain, logistics and maintaining quality standards.

What they’re not always very good at is telling the world what makes them great.

At HyperX Design, one of OUR specialties is helping companies to uncover core strengths and factors that aren’t being communicated on their website. Our Charter

Background

FTC Industries is a precision CNC machine shop, specializing in high-volume machining. In the Dallas, Fort Worth area of Texas, FTC Industries is known for their quality, efficiency and high volume production capabilities.  Unfortunately, their website wasn’t getting it done. Owner Rick is a master when it comes to building production and manufacturing facilities. However, when it came to the website, all he knew was nothing was happening. It was producing zero leads for their company, and they have serious growth goals to meet. Time for a change. This required a combination of website design and SEO services.

02

THE PLAN

Design Considerations

Previous iterations of the FTC Industries website were nothing more than online brochures. It was somewhere to send people, but wasn’t designed to attract or convert customers. They also didn’t effectively communicate FTC’s expansive capabilities, so the new site definitely needed to do that.

Messaging

As with many manufacturing businesses we’ve worked with, their websites often sell their companies short. A lack of visual “pop”, dry content, and zero engagement with the audience. Many manufacturers have a website for the sake of having one, but really haven’t experienced what a proper website can do for their business. FTC was no exception. We need the new website to tell the world what makes FTC the best choice.

Marketing

“Is your website producing leads for your company?” This is a question we ask early on in the process. If the answer is no, then the next question is “would you like it to?” Owner Rick answered “no it hasn’t” and “YES we want it to!” Knowing this, we needed to include proper on-page SEO for the website, and come up with a game plan to get their new website more visibility in the search engines.

03

RESULTS

Rave reviews for their shiny new website. Better engagement. Seeing inbound lead activity for the first time!

We completed this project inside of two weeks.   With proper dialogue, there’s no reason for website projects to string on for months and months. More importantly, they were ecstatic to see inbound lead activity much sooner than anticipated, and the website has received floods of compliments.

Visual appeal to grab their visitor's attention

How? Using proven design principles we created a design that was sure to capture attention. Take a look at the header and you'll see what we mean!

Improve quote activity

How? At the bottom of each page is a button that allows website visitors to easily contact FTC for pricing or questions.

Stronger messaging

How? Take a look at the "Why FTC" section on their home page as an example. Websites can be your #1 sales representative if you equip it with strong language that really "sells" your company.

Better Search Engine Rankings

Before this project you couldn't find FTC Industries in any online searches. They were invisible. In under two months they were showing up on page one for several important search terms, in a very competitive market.

Machine shop web design

Graphic Design

To complement their new website, FTC was in need of updated marketing materials for their sales team. An important consideration for this was to create a flyer that provided a consistent look and feel to their brand new website design.

Website Commercial

A great way to introduce your company to your website visitors is with a “Webommercial”, or an online commercial. In this case, we wanted to build trust for FTC’s audience when they landed on the website.
